I went to Seattle yesterday. I wanted to the Motorcycle shop people to see a face with my bike and smooze a little bit and get some more specific detail about what is wrong with my bike. I met one of the sales employees there named Ellen. I guy I met in Wyoming told me to look her up. He said if you want to know about which roads are best to take anywhere in the country. Talk to Ellen at Ridewest BMW. Take it from me, she does. I sat and chewed the fat with her for about an hour. She told me about the 1100 mile day she did on her bike. She also showed me pictures and told me of several trips she has taken around the U.S. and abroad. She also pushed some motorcycle tours that she promotes but she wasn't hardcore about it.
Before sitting down with Ellen, I did have a nice chat with the mechanics at Ridewest. They actually went out of there way to show me the problems and were quite friendly. As you can tell from below. My baby has been left on the operating table until the part comes in.

I rode the ferry from Seattle back to Bainbridge. It is a great way to travel. I got some great views of the city.

I had to wait for about an hour before the next ferry came so I walked the city a bit. I saw all the typical people you might see in the city. Business, tourists, families and all. The atmosphere seemed friendlier than in most cities that I have been to.
The homeless and beggars seemed very unique. They were friendly but not hustling. One guy just held up a sign that said, "smile" another was selling candy. Then there was what looked like a veteran in a wheel chair and his wife or girlfriend. They just struck up a conversation with whoever came by but didn't seem to ask for anything.
This morning I went out to say hi to the chickens and they left 3 eggs. They actually laid 4 but one was broken. I guess they didn't figure I deserved 4 just yet.

The fog rolled in overnight and there was still some hanging around.

I rode off to Olympic Natl. Park today.

As usual, this park was as pretty as so many others that I had seen.

I hadn't eaten anything by about 2pm this afternoon so I stopped at this interesting batch of eateries. Everything is in train cars. I went in to get a sandwich. Well...I came out with a milkshake. How did that happen?

I came back to my brother and sister-in-law's place to be greeted by Lizzie. A neighbor's dog.

She seems to have accepted me very well. Larry, my brother's neighbor has told me he is friendly with everyone. I fed her an egg earlier in the day that he seemed to like. He seems to make a daily habit of coming around dinner time to see me. I guess he thinks I am a softy. She's right.
I did get some good news this evening. My bike is fixed and it shouldn't cost me as much as I was worried it would. I'm going to mooch off a ride with some neighbors tomorrow on their way to Summerside. By this time tomorrow night, my bike should be safe and sound up here in Port Townsend with me.
I haven't decided how I am getting back east yet. I'm leaning toward riding but time is starting to get tight.
Anyway, I have decided not to do anything until Tuesday. Weather is suppose to be chilly and wet on Sunday and Monday so I don't really want to ride. I will work out the details of whatever I do then and possibly get things rolling Tuesday.
